About Ruby's Artisan Bakery

Ruby’s Artisan Bakery is the sweet result of a lifelong love for baking that began as early as 2 years old when I sat on the kitchen counter making tea bracks with my mum. This passion stayed with me throughout the years. In 2011, while living in London, a dear friend gifted me my first sourdough starter, setting off a delightful bread-making journey.

The Story Behind The Bakery Shop

By 2015, I was creating bread and desserts for our family’s wedding business. In 2018, I started selling cakes at Sheridan’s Cheesemongers farmers market, and in 2020, I fell head over heels for sourdough. I began baking bread for friends and neighbours, and in 2022, I converted part of my dad’s old workshop into a dedicated bakery kitchen for crafting sourdough bread, moving production to our new bakery.

You can savour the fruits of our labour by finding our bread at various locations throughout the week. Catch us at Platter by Lu in Trim on Wednesdays and Fridays, The Front Room at Stoney’s in Longwood on Fridays, Swainstown Farm on Saturdays and Sundays, and Sheridan’s Saturday market. And don’t forget, you can also visit us at Durhamstown Castle, Bohermeen Navan.
